Welcome!

Someone told to start my first blog post off with something funny or an open ended question...so....all's far in love and war? Just kidding. I don't think I could just be funny on command. Anyway, I would like to welcome you to my blog...something I have always wanted to try and have been told many times that I should start a blog. So here goes! It could be great or it could be a big ole flop. Either way, I am prepared. I love all things DIY!! Some may think that it's because I'm cheap. When really that couldn't be further from the truth. If you have ever made any project yourself, then you know that it's not always the cheapest option. Don't get me wrong, sometimes it is. Like if you have a wood sign you want to make and you found some scrap wood on the side of the road in someones trash pile( I may or may not have done this a few times!) of course that project will be cheaper than buying one already done. But, there are the times we see something on pinterest and we want to make that item, we have to go buy the supplies necessary to make said project. It can add up! So, I'm just saying it doesn't make me cheap just cause I like the gratification of making something myself...a one of a kind original piece, that no one else but me will have in my house. I am not a cookie cutter type of girl. I like things to be original. Which is one of the reasons that DIYing appeals to me. No two pieces will ever be the same...I love that. I have walked into many of my friends houses to see the same sign from big box stores that they have purchased. It's cute, don't get me wrong. I just can't stand to have the same stuff that everyone else has. Where is the originality or creativity in that? I would like things in my house to reflect me...who I am, and to know that I made that! So, I hope that you will stick around and we can DIY together. I can't wait to DIY some cute Christmas stuff!
